The month of February comes with an important update for FIFA 18 Ultimate Team. The ratings will be updated for hundreds of players. This change affects players that are part of several leagues. Players from Premier League, Calcio A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, La Liga, and others will have a new rating. Here is what you need to know about the update. The players that will be affected by the update are those who are found in packs. They are basic players. It’s important to mention that non in-form players that are in a user’s club will not be updated. There are several rules based on which the update is applied or not. Players with the new rating that is at least equal to the first in-form rating, will receive the rating update. There are two exceptions to this rule. The first one is for players with low rating for which the upgrade would be quite remarkable. The second exception refers to the items from Ultimate Scream. The players that will not get an update are those for which the new rating is lower than the in-form one. Another important observation is that no player will have his rating lowered. All updates are actually upgrades.
Let’s take a look at some of the new ratings. David De Gea and Eden Hazard from Premier League have now 91 rating from 90. From Calcio A, we have Milan Skriniar as one of the FIFA 18 players with the biggest update. His rating went to 80 from 74. Another player with a good boost is Patrick Cutrone who now has 71 from 65. Edinson Cavani and Thomas Lemar are some of the Ligue 1 players who were updated. Cavani’s rating is now 88 from 87 and Lemar’s is 84 from 83. Some of the Bundesliga players who received the update are Mats Hummels, Joshua Kimmich, Niklas Sule, and Timo Werner. La Liga players Sergio Busquets and Casemiro were also updated. The complete list of updated players is found on the main FIFA 18 website. The ratings change is set to take place on 23rd February.
